Weddings on the Farm

Courter Country  Farm is the perfect location for your Pacific Northwest outdoor wedding. The sun reflecting off Barker Creek and the fragrances of the farm flowers, create the perfect surroundings for your special day!  Majestic trees are perfect for creating stunning wedding photos.  Following your ceremony, you and your guests can visit our alpacas, bunnies, chickens, ducks and adorable little goats. Worried about social distancing and challenging family dynamics? With 20 acres, there is lots of space for everyone to spread out following the ceremony. 

Summer weddings are beautiful with all the flowers and trees in bloom. However, no one wants to have their day spoiled by the heat of the day. There are two separate areas for getting ready, a lovely turn of the century homestead and our saloon complete with a pool table.  If you plan your wedding in the early evening, lovely alder trees will provide shade for your guests throughout the celebration.

Twenty wooded acres at the end of the dirt road provide plenty of privacy yet, we are only 5 minutes to town for those last-minute needs.

Florals

We grow our own cut-flowers for weddings. We are pleased to offer our seasonal flowers and greenery for your wedding. Visit the farm early the week of your wedding and pick-out your favorite flowers. This option is perfect if you flexible in your color scheme and love the idea of farm fresh florals. 

 

Music

Besides the natural sounds of the countryside, both live and recorded music is allowable and encouraged. We provide speakers, you provide the DJ or band. Please note limited power is available for high power equipment. 

Alcohol & Food

Feel free to hold both your rehearsal dinner and wedding at our farm. While we do not require you to work with a specific caterer, caterers must be preapproved. Alcohol may be served, but requires a banquet permit through the state of Washington (under $20/day). Underage or intoxicated persons are not allowed to consume alcoholic beverages; alcoholic beverages are not to be sold.

Rental Periods

Check in is at 4pm Friday and check-out is noon on Sunday.

Party Size

We accommodate up to 150 people comfortably. A $500 surcharge is added for parties over 150 and up to 200. Please check current COVID restrictions. 

Decorations

We love our farm and hope you will too. We wish to protect it for years of future enjoyment. No objects such as tacks, staples, wires, nails of any kind may be affixed to any trees or structures, chairs, tables etc . Please use only bird seed or wildflower seed to toss. Large structures such as arbors may be stored at farm up to one week prior to your event and removed by checkout on Sunday at noon. No sparklers.

Inclusions

Prior to your Wedding
 
  • Bring your wedding planner, a few friends, and family out for up to four 2-hour weekday or off season planning sessions.
  • We can accept and store deliveries 12 days prior to your wedding. Air-conditioned space is available for your wedding cake and flowers.

  • Two porta-potties with an outdoor sink are wrapped in a beautiful cedar arbor with barn doors, landscaped and freshly serviced. An ADA friendly porta-potty is also available. (The bridal party and any special needs guests will also have full access to the bridal suite and saloon baths until 6pm on Saturday only).

Day of your Wedding
  • Full access to the Flower Cottage Homestead for the bridal party, make-up artists and hair stylists and the Open Gate Saloon for the groomsmen. Beverages not included.

  • Power and potable water. No high amperage sound systems and limited power available for caterers.

  • Seating for up to 200 for the wedding/reception (we suggest having a few volunteers move the chairs from the ceremony to the reception area following the nuptials).

  • Professional 40' x 60' white double marquee tent with lighting to celebrate under and protect your guests from the elements

  • Stage for dancing the night away

  • On site manager for the farm

Requirements

Insurance: An insurance policy must be purchased by WedSafe or through your insurance agency.  Minimum $1,000,000 policy.

 

Wedding day planner: At a minimum, you must have a professional licensed day-of-planner

Cleaning crew: After a day packed with planning, excitement, and romance, it may be difficult to find energy for cleaning and take down of decor. We can supply a crew for an additional fee.

Rental Fees and Important Information

Additional Fees:

Large parties (between 151-200) add $500

$500 security deposit

$250/night for farmhouse rental which sleeps up to 8 people. No extra guests in the farmhouse.

Deposits:  To secure your dates, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required along with your signed contract.

 

Cancellations: Please be certain you wish to wed and wed on our farm. Your deposit is NON-Refundable. Should you wish to sell your date, or another couple books your date, we will release you from your remaining balance on your contract.

 

Rates are subject to state and local sales tax. If using a credit card, a 3% fee will be added to the total.
